Coming Into the Valley of Fire

The Valley of Fire State Park is a sea of red rock fromations spanning 34,880 acres (around 141 sq. km) in the southeast area of Nevada. It is named aptly for the reddish-hued rocks that appear to be aflame when under sunlight. 

It's one of the most breathtaking places I've ever been to. As we entered the state park and rounded the gray mountains, the sudden surge of red  elicited a prolonged Wow.
